Sonic Terms of Service

Audio Recording & Processing Tool

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Sonic application and related services (the "App") provided by Sonic ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App (or 16 years old if you are located in the European Economic Area). By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Description of the App

Sonic is an audio tool application that provides the following features:

• Audio recording and playback
• Audio editing and trimming
• Audio format conversion
• Voice changing and effects
• On-device AI music generation
• Other audio processing utilities

All audio processing is performed locally on your device. We do not upload your audio content to remote servers. We may modify, add, or remove features at any time without prior notice.

3. Subscription & Billing

Sonic offers auto-renewable subscription plans that unlock premium features.

• Payment is charged to your App Store account upon confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings.
• Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.

4. Refund Policy

All purchases are processed by the App Store. Refunds are subject to the refund policies of the applicable app store. We do not process refunds directly.

5. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code;
• Sublicense or sell access to the App;
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You may not use the App to:

• Record or process audio without the consent of all parties involved, where required by law;
• Create or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringing;
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or its associated systems;
• Circumvent any access controls or usage restrictions.

7. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all audio recordings and files you create or import within the App. Since all content is stored locally on your device, we do not access, use, or claim any rights over your content.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the App, including any content you record or process, complies with applicable laws.

8. On-Device AI

The App includes an AI music generation feature that runs entirely on your device. AI-generated outputs are automated and may not always meet your expectations. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before use.

9. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the App, including its design, software, and branding, are owned by Sonic or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in the App other than the limited license described above.

10. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sonic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including any loss of data or audio files stored on your device.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue the App or your access to premium features at any time. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
