This Privacy Policy describes how Sonic ("we", "us", or "our"), the developer of Sonic, collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Sonic application and related services (the "App").

Sonic requests the following system permissions only to deliver its core features. You may grant or revoke any permission at any time via your device Settings → Sonic.
Required to record audio within the App. Recordings are initiated only by your explicit action. Sonic does not access the microphone in the background.
Used to save audio recordings and processed files to your device, and to import existing audio files for editing or processing. The App accesses only files you explicitly select.
Accessed only when you explicitly choose to import an audio or media file for processing. The App does not scan or read your files without your direct action.
All audio content is stored locally on your device. Sonic does not upload your audio recordings or processed files to remote servers.
Payment and billing details are handled entirely by the App Store. Sonic does not collect or store your payment card information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details.
Sonic includes an AI music generation feature. All AI processing is performed entirely on your device. Your audio data and generated content are not transmitted to external servers or third-party AI service providers for this purpose.
AI-generated outputs are automated and may not always meet expectations. Please review results before use.
We may share limited non-content data (such as crash reports and usage analytics) with trusted third-party service providers solely to operate and improve the App. These may include analytics and crash reporting services.
All service providers are contractually obligated to protect your personal data and may not use it for their own purposes.
If personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we implement appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent legal mechanisms.
Audio files and processed content are stored locally on your device and remain under your control. Usage and diagnostic data is retained only as long as necessary to operate and improve the App.
We implement industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), restricted access controls, and monitoring systems to protect your personal data.
Sonic does not track you across third-party apps or websites for advertising purposes. The App does not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission.
Any analytics data we collect is used solely for internal product improvement and is never shared with advertising networks or data brokers.

Since Sonic identifies your session by device, no account registration or login credentials are required. All audio content created within the App is stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time from within the App or by uninstalling the App.

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted within the App and on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
